THE NEWEST ADDITION TO OUR ONGOING COLLABORATION WITH WILDER IS A STUDIO VISIT WITH ELLEN VAN DUSEN OF DUSEN DUSEN, THE WOMENSWEAR AND HOME BRAND KNOWN FOR ITS BOLD, COLORFUL PRINTS. THE FIRST IN A SERIES OF DESIGNERS BY DESIGNERS, WILDER ASKED ALEX ROSENHAUS AND DREW ARRISON OF ALEX DREW & NO ONE TO COME UP WITH SEVEN QUESTIONS FOR ELLEN. OUR FAVORITE QUESTION AND ANSWER IS EXCERPTED HERE. BUT IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE, LIKE WHAT BAND SHE WOULD HAVE FOLLOWING HER AROUND, PROVIDING THE SOUNDTRACK TO HER LIFE, GO TO WILDER JOURNAL AND VIEW THE ENTIRE INTERVIEW.
Alex Drew & No One:
If you could create three absurd new trends in 2016, what would they be?
Ellen Van Dusen:
1. Four-day work week.
2. House exteriors in colors in New York City. How come San Francisco gets to live this way and we don't? I want to live in a yellow house.
3. Pets for pets — I want my dog to have her own pig, so I could walk her and she could walk the pig.
